‘Anupama’ fame actor Gaurav Khanna has expressed his displeasure over the announcement of divorce from wife Akanksha Chamola. Gaurav Khanna said that there was only talk between them. They are still legally husband and wife. He expressed grief over the rumors and statements being made against Akanksha. On the other hand, Akanksha Chamola had claimed in the show that they have been living separately for a year.

New Delhi: Famous TV actor Gaurav Khanna reached the set of reality show ‘Lock Up 2’. He expressed his displeasure over wife Akanksha Chamola’s statement on divorce. The actor directly asked Akanksha why she came on national television and made such a big announcement? Gaurav clarified the matter and said that there was only a normal discussion between them on this issue, till now no application has been signed in the court nor anything official has happened. When Akanksha gave clarification, she said that you took this decision when you went to the show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. Gaurav interrupted him and said that just seven days before going on the show, you had dropped a bomb by saying this. Now in such a situation, should I go there and concentrate on the stunts or solve the problems in my mind?
The show’s host Farah Khan gave both of them a chance to sit alone in her cabin and talk peacefully. Inside the cabin, Gaurav told Akanksha that we had talked about this in May, but outside people feel as if it has been more than a year since our divorce. People are making all kinds of stories that you were using this to get on the show and I was trying to garner sympathy. Gaurav Khanna reminded Akanksha that in the eyes of law, both of them are still a couple and are bound in the relationship of husband and wife.

Gaurav Khanna further said that he is quite surprised to see the way social media and people outside are taking this matter. People are writing fabricated stories as per their wish, which is absolutely wrong. According to the report of News18 English, while expressing his views, he said that he cannot tolerate even a single bad thing about Akanksha from outside, because legally he is still her husband. Gaurav believes that he does not like anyone speaking ill about the person with whom he has spent a long time of his life and who is his wife even today.
The rift in the relationship increased due to mutual differences!
In the previous episodes of ‘Lock Up’, Akanksha had claimed that she and Gaurav were living separately for the last one year and both were going to get divorced. While talking to other contestants of the show, Shreya Kalra and Sufi Motiwala, Akanksha also told the real reason for separation. She had said that at the time of marriage she had no desire to become a mother, although she had not closed the door on it. She gradually understood that she did not want children, whereas Gaurav’s thinking changed with time. They now want to expand their family. For this reason both of them parted ways.
