New Delhi: Actor Rajiv Khandelwal, famous for his strong acting in the world of TV and films, often talks openly on social issues. Recently, he has expressed his frank opinion on the issue of apartheid and the fear and low confidence that comes in the minds of people because of it.

Rajeev believes that the real identity of any person is not determined by his appearance, but by his thinking, work and his personality.

Reema’s pain and Rajiv’s answer

These days Rajiv Khandelwal is hosting the reality show ‘Tum Ho Na- Ghar Ki Superstar’. During this show, contestant Dr. Reema shared a very emotional story of her life. Reema told that since childhood she had to listen to people’s taunts because of her dark complexion. She was often compared to her white sisters. These things completely broke her confidence and she remained a victim of inferiority complex for a long time.

After hearing this sad story of Dr. Reema, Rajeev Khandelwal did not remain silent. He said that it is very sad that even today our society judges a person by his appearance. Commenting or questioning someone’s complexion shows very small thinking. Now the society will have to come out of this kind of bad mentality.

Work will change society’s thinking

Rajiv further said that if we really want to change the thinking of the society, then we will have to set an example with our work. People should do something in life to show that tomorrow parents will not compare their children by their colour, but by their success and achievements. While encouraging Reema, he said that you should do such work in the society that people will say that our child should also become exactly like Dr. Reema. We also want similar color. These changes can only bring good things for us.

Character is not important, appearance is important

While sharing his personal views on beauty, Rajeev said that for him beauty has nothing to do with colour. He has always considered dark complexion very attractive and beautiful. Rajiv made it clear that he is not saying this just to keep Reema in her heart or to encourage her, but he has always been thinking like this. In the end Rajiv made a special appeal to the people. He said that never let the negative things of the society dominate your confidence. The real identity of a person is not his appearance, but his character i.e. his heart and his nature. If you have good confidence and good values, then there can be no greater beauty than this in the world. She believes that no one should ever feel inferior because of their color or appearance.
