On the occasion of World Laughter Day, Kapil Sharma invited veteran comedian Sunil Pal and Samay Raina in his show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. There was a lot of humor in the show. Samay also continuously roasted Sunil Pal, after which this conversation became much discussed on social media. While some people found the bickering between the two funny, many users said that Sunil Pal was ‘insulted’ on national TV.

Now in a recent interview given to Zee Switch, Sunil Pal admitted that he was not mentally prepared for whatever happened in the show. Actually, Sunil Pal was asked that before coming to ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, what was he told that Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahabadia would be in the show? He said, ‘I was told that Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahabadia will be in the show and you also have to come, but you have to perform.’

I was not mentally prepared – Sunil Pal
Sunil Pal further said, ‘I was called to do standup, so I had prepared for the same. But coincidentally standup did not happen there, all this happened there i.e. roasting. I was not even mentally prepared for this. I can’t call it cheating, but what I thought did not happen there and what was not expected definitely happened.

Controversy between Sunil Pal and Samay Raina
Let us tell you, this was the first meeting of Sunil Pal and Samay Raina after the controversy. Actually, in February last year, Samay and Ranveer were embroiled in controversy when Ranveer made some vulgar comments in Samay’s show India’s Guy Latent. There were reports of several FIRs being registered against both of them in this case, after which Samay removed the show from YouTube.

After the controversy, Sunil Pal had publicly criticized Samay and even called him a ‘terrorist’. At the same time, in its recent comedy special, Samay had also taken a dig at these statements of Sunil.
