Mumbai. Comedian and mimicry artist Jamie Lever got embroiled in controversy after making a video on ‘Bigg Boss 19’ finalist Tanya Mittal. After the controversies he has taken a break from social media. In the video she mimicked Tanya Mittal. After this clip went viral, many users accused Jamie of body-shaming, after which he decided to give himself time to respond to the criticism. Jamie shared a note on Instagram explaining the reason for his decision.

On Jamie Lever’s journey and the recent reaction she has received about her work, she wrote, “Those who really know me know how much I love my work and how honestly I do it. I have to thank God that I have been given the gift of bringing happiness in the lives of others and I will always be grateful for the love of my fans.”

Jamie Lever further wrote, “On this journey I have learned that not everyone will clap for you or laugh with you. Recent events have made me feel like I have lost a small part of myself – this does not come from anger, but from introspection.”

Jamie Lever further assured his followers that his passion to entertain is still intact, but for now he needs to take a pause and reset himself. “I love my work and I will always keep entertaining people. For now, I am taking some rest and time to reset myself. See you next year. Thank you always for your love, prayers and support.”

In this clip, Jamie copied Tanya’s expressions, which also included footage from the show, in which Tanya was seen crying. Some viewers saw the video as satire, while many felt it went too far.
