The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned TV host Shefali Bagga in the Mahadev online betting app and the money laundering case related to it. He was interrogated at the zonal office of ED in Raipur. ED had claimed that the TV host was allegedly seen promoting the betting app and giving betting related tips to the players.
According to ED, Shefali Bagga’s name is linked to Khanjan Jagdish Kumar Thakkar. The investigating agency alleges that Khanjan Thakkar is one of the prominent people running and promoting online betting apps in India. During investigation, he has also been identified as an important operator of Hawala network related to Mahadev Online Book, who used to handle financial transactions.

ED claims that Shefali Bagga used to promote betting apps operating from foreign countries, especially Dubai and London. During the investigation, the agency has found such promotional pages and other digital evidence, in which Shefali is allegedly seen promoting the betting app and giving betting related tips to the players.

According to the investigating agency, Shefali Bagga also has a Telegram channel, where promotions and betting tips related to illegal online betting were allegedly shared.
