New Delhi: Actor Mohit Raina has been missing for a long time for films like ‘Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev’ and ‘Shiddat’ and ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. Recently, he has given an interview in which he has told a lot about his upcoming work. The actor says that he wanted to get out of good characters and then he got ‘Kankhajura’.
More work has to be done for negative rolls
Asked whether there is any challenge in playing a negative role? In response, Raina said that it was like any other project. But yes, it requires any kind of homework and preparation. A little more than what you usually do, because it is something you are playing for the first time. I do not have a habit of watching monitor while working. He said, ‘In this case, I will really see my director twice or I will see if I have done the right thing that we had thought about this character on paper… because what happens on paper and while working, it is really different to do it.’
Raina gained fame from ‘Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev’, where he played the role of Lord Shiva. This series lasted from 2011 to 2013. He also played Shiva in the 2013 series ‘Mahabharata’. But the actor has stopped working with mythological characters, at least for now. He said, ‘I don’t think I would like to go on that path right now.’ However, he wants to play the role of a historical person in future. He says, ‘If I get a chance, I would like to play the role of a historical person because it has really been a long time. I have not done anything historic. So… maybe someday, some historical part came to me.
Raina wants to work on comedy
The ‘Uri’ actor has also expressed his excitement to find a comedy genere. He says, ‘Comedy is something that I really want to do now. Therefore, I think comedy is something that I want to do, the way the audience appreciated Kankhajura, Raina is happy with it. Let us know that this is a Hindi conversion of the Israeli drama series ‘Magpai’ (2019). Calling Matthew a brilliant actor, Raina said that he had a great experience working with him and he has followed his work before.
Your OTT debut with ‘Bhakal’
Raina says, ‘I think Roshan is one of the safest actors I have seen in my life, I have seen her work before,’ parasite ‘and other series and other films, some of them are also in Malayalam.
