New Delhi. Pinky Bua i.e. Upasana Singh of the small screen may have been missing from Kapil Sharma’s show for a long time, but she has made it clear that there is no bitterness between them. The actress also told that she is not only acting but is also fulfilling a big responsibility as the General Secretary of the Cine and TV Artists Association. He spoke openly on important issues like getting the artists paid on time and fixing working hours.
No regrets on leaving Kapil Sharma’s show
Upasana Singh said, ‘I am very happy for Kapil and the entire team and there is no sadness in my mind that I am no longer a part of the show. I believe that as long as God had my work written there, I did it. There is no dispute between me and Kapil, I don’t know why this thing spread in the media. Even today I consider Kapil as my younger brother and if I get a good role from the show in the future, I will definitely do it.
Working to get payment on time
Apart from this, Upasana Singh talked about her work as General Secretary of Cine and TV Artist Association. He said, ‘The issue of getting timely payment to the artists still remains. We are constantly meeting people from the ministry so that the artists can get remuneration for their hard work. This issue is only being talked about because the people sitting in the ministry themselves, who have connections with cinema, avoid talking about it. People from outside think that what a dazzling life this is, but it is not so, no one knows how much pain is hidden behind this glamour.
People reaching out to Upasana Singh with problems
Upasana said, ‘Ever since I became General Secretary, people have been coming to me with problems. He says that work is available only for a few days in a year and payment is also received after 90 days. The coordinator takes some part of the payment. Now think for yourself how difficult it is to live in a city like Mumbai and raise a family with your dreams. It has become difficult for people to pay their children’s school fees.
MP Arun Govil assured
Upasana told that in this matter, MP Arun Govil has assured that he will come along with other ministers and will also implement the rules ranging from payment issues to a limited shift. He said, ‘In the cinema, one has to work a shift of 12 hours and sometimes it goes up to 14 hours, and there is no separate payment for it. The money that is to be received is also not received on time. Efforts will be made to resolve all these issues as soon as possible.
