New Delhi: As beautiful as the TV world looks from outside, full of glamour, the artists have to pay an equally huge price for it. Smita Bansal, who played the memorable character of Sumitra in the popular TV show ‘Balika Vadhu’, has recently expressed similar pain about her personal life. She told how as a mother, she had become distant from her own daughter due to being busy shooting day and night. This dilemma of balancing work and family had left a deep wound on his heart.

Heart’s secret revealed in talk show

Smita Bansal shared this very emotional experience related to her personal life in the TV talk show ‘Tum Ho Na- Ghar Ki Superstar’. He told that due to continuous shooting and work schedule, he did not get a chance to spend time with his home and children. Smita said, “Being an artist, I do my work with full sincerity, but due to professional commitments, many times I could not give as much time to my daughters as I should have given as a mother.”

When daughter refused to sleep with me

During the show, Smita mentioned that shocking moment which shook her to the core. She told, “Once I returned home from the shooting after several days, I decided to put my daughter to sleep myself. But that night my daughter flatly refused to sleep with me and went to her grandmother. At that moment I realized how much distance had come between me and my innocent daughter because of work. It was extremely painful for a mother.”

difference between reel and real life

Smita Bansal further said that people knew her for different characters on TV. Some called her ‘Anandi’s mother’, while others called her ‘Jagya’s mother’. But in real life, she was not able to spend the special moments she wanted with her own daughter. This has been the biggest regret of her life as a mother, which she cannot change now even if she wants to.
