New Delhi. ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ fame Deepika Kakkar Ibrahim is away from TV, but is very close to her fans. He has been missing from the small screen for a long time. Even now she is connected with her fans through her YouTube channel. A few months ago, Deepika was affected by liver cancer. This news had also disappointed his fans. Now Deepika Kakkar spoke openly about her battle with cancer in Harsh Limbachiyaa and Bharti Singh’s podcast and told how her family still remains in tension that her cancer might return.

Deepika told about her illness in the podcast of Harsh Limbachiyaa and Bharti Singh. He told how the severe stomach pain changed everything within a few days.

Doctors were shocked to see tumor and stone together

Deepika told, ‘I often had severe pain after Ruhaan’s birth. At first I thought it was gall bladder pain. But then the pain became unbearable, so I told Shoaib that something was wrong because the pain was very severe. The doctor asked me to get blood tests done and we got them all done. But, after 4 days of starting the medicine, the pain started again. When I told the doctor, he called me for an appointment and then did a test called CRP. The investigation revealed that along with stones in the gallbladder, there was also a 9 cm tumor. Even the doctors were shocked after seeing the report.

22 percent of the liver was also removed.

Deepika further says- ‘When the last FAPI scan was done, cancer cells were not found anywhere in the body. 22 percent of my liver, which included an 11 cm tumor, was removed. Along with this, all the cancer was also removed and separated. Since then, we have been regularly monitoring my health through blood and tumor marker tests and thankfully the results are also normal.

Now waiting for new scan

While talking to Harsh and Bharti, Deepika told that her family is now waiting for a new scan, which will know whether she is cancer free or not. Talking about her health, she said- ‘Soon I will get another FAPI scan done, it is similar to CT scan. But, it is especially used to detect cancer cells in the body. Through this scan, doctors are helped in starting treatment or performing surgery. This shows how far the cancer has spread. As far as I am concerned, the best thing is that the cancer was limited to the tumor. ,

Deepika is taking oral targeted therapy

During this time, Deepika Kakkar also talked about her oral targeted therapy. She said- ‘I am currently taking oral targeted therapy, which works like chemotherapy to some extent. This therapy will last for about 2 years, during which we have to ensure that this disease does not recur. Therefore, periodic scanning is necessary. This happened despite my healthy lifestyle. The doctors were also surprised to see my report. He said that despite so many years of experience, he could not understand how this happened to me. ,
