TV actor Rohit Chandel has been arrested by Ghatkopar police of Mumbai following the complaint of his 16 year old minor co-actress. The minor has accused him of stalking, harassing and assault. Rohit Chandel, who was seen in TV shows like ‘Kashibai Bajirao Ballal’ and ‘Pandya Store’, was detained on July 10.
Rohit Chandel is in judicial custody
Now, according to the report of Times of India, Senior Police Inspector of Ghatkopar Police Station, Vitthal Laxman Ardekar said, ‘Rohit Chandel was arrested and presented in the court, from where he was sent to judicial custody. He is accused of stalking the victim. He is currently in judicial custody. The court will decide for how long he will be kept in custody.
According to the police officer, Rohit Chandel admitted during interrogation that he used to go to meet the minor girl. The victim was his co-actress and she has alleged that Rohit was pressurizing her. Police said that Rohit lives in Dahisar, but he often tries to go to Ghatkopar and meet her. Not only this, despite the number being blocked, he kept calling her continuously.

According to the complaint lodged, the girl has alleged that the accused harassed her by calling her on her mobile phone from his number and many other numbers several times from December 2025 to July 7. The victim also alleges that on July 5, Rohit Chandel reached near her house, chased her, argued with her, abused her and even beat her up.
Case registered under POCSO Act
Based on the complaint of the victim, Ghatkopar police has registered a case against Rohit Chandel under the POCSO Act. Apart from this, he has also been charged with stalking (stalking) under section 78 of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS) and voluntarily causing hurt under section 115(2).
