The FIR initially had the names of Ashish Kapoor, his friend, friend’s wife and two unknown people. Later, the victim changed the statement and said that only Ashish Kapoor raped her.

According to the report of Indian Express, an FIR was lodged against Ashish Kapoor, his friend, his wife and two unidentified people on 11 August. On August 18, the woman recorded another statement, alleging that Kapoor and her friend raped her and the friend’s wife killed her. However, on August 21, Kapoor’s friend and his wife were granted anticipatory bail.

According to the investigating officials, the statements of CCTV footage and witnesses have revealed that Ashish Kapoor and the woman entered the bathroom together. When he did not come out, the guests started knocking on the door. There was an alleged fight after this. The complainant claimed that the friend’s wife killed him.
