According to Times of India, Karan Mehra said about his character that he has no regrets about playing the role of a father in the show. He said, ‘Their marriage in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was a love story that started with an arranged marriage. In the show I played the roles of son, fiance, husband, son-in-law and father. Playing the role of a father was a new experience for me. After six years of the show, there was a big change in the story and the children had also grown up. But still I did not leave the show and worked in it for one and a half years. At that time I had a great time with the entire team.

People are known by the name Naitik

Karan further said that even today people call him Naitik on the road. He says that when we work in a show for a long time, it becomes a part of our real life too. Regarding kitchen drama, Karan also said that whether any show runs on TV or not, the audience always likes stories related to family and relationships. Saath Aayi has also been a part of Bigg Boss Season 10 in 2016.
