Actor Dilip Joshi, while interacting with the media, admitted that he misses sharing the screen with Disha (who played the character of Daya Ben). In fact, on the occasion of completion of 18 years of the show, the actor while talking to the media expressed hope that ‘some miracle happens and Disha comes back to the show.’

Dilip said, “Obviously Disha and I were connected through this show for the last 10 years. People know what amazing scenes we have done together. So we definitely miss that chemistry and scenes.”

The actor also revealed that producer Asit Modi is trying to bring back the magic of Jethalal and Dayaben. He said, “Asit ji was telling me that he also misses those scenes shot at home. He keeps thinking how to bring such scenes back. He has ideas, but it is not possible in the script.” He said, “I definitely miss the level of work Disha has done as an actor.”

Actress Munmun Dutta told in a conversation with the media that she never saw other women as competition in the show. She said, “I am a very strong independent woman. I believe that if we want to move forward, we will have to move forward together. I have never been insecure with anyone here.”

Munmun also said that female actors often do not get the recognition they deserve, even though they play an equally important role in the success of the show. She said, “Sometimes women do not get that much importance. I am not saying that it happens here, but it happens in some places. We bring a lot to the show and our characters. Women are equally important in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.”
