Mumbai. Actor Siddharth Venugopal passed away. He was 40 years old and was fighting a battle with cancer. The Malayalam TV industry is currently in deep mourning due to his demise. Siddharth’s colleagues, friends and audience are saddened by the news of his demise. Siddharth’s death was confirmed by actress Seema G Nair. Seema had been with him continuously during his treatment for the last few years. Siddharth was battling cancer for about two years. Seema ji Nair wrote in an emotional post on social media, “All hopes are gone…”
Seema G Nair wrote, “Popular serial actor Siddharth Venugopal has now gone to a pain-free world… For the last two years I kept fighting for you, running to save your life even when my mind and body were tired… Today God has decided that you should not suffer anymore… I am not able to bear this Siddharth, I am heartbroken.”
As soon as this news spread, many artists and colleagues from the Malayalam entertainment world expressed their condolences. Everyone remembered him not only as an artist but also as a familiar face on TV sets. Actor Kishore Satya also paid tribute and remembered the support he received during Siddharth’s battle and treatment.
Kishore said, “Another actor has left us too soon. Siddharth Venugopal was a familiar face to the audience through TV serials. He was fighting cancer for some time. Our dear Seema ji Nair was taking care of his health. The film industry has always supported the medical needs of many people, including the late Sharanya. I pray that Siddharth’s soul rest in peace and salute the kind heart of Seema ji Nair.”
The journey of Siddharth, who made his mark in shows like ‘Kasturiman’ and ‘Bhagyajathakam’, started much earlier than this. Siddharth, who hails from Chalakudy in Thrissur, became fond of acting during his college days and also joined professional theatre. He started his career as a presenter, after which he entered TV serials with the help of producer Arun Ghosh.
