Senior actress ‘Zeenat Aman’ recently shared the story of old days on her social media account. In which he told how his precious watch was lost while watching a charity cricket match with former Prime Minister ‘Indira Gandhi’ and actress ‘Simi Grewal’. In her recent post, the actress told about the incident in which her expensive watch was lost.

While narrating this story in detail, Zeenat said that a rich friend of hers had gifted her a luxurious Rolex watch, which was later stolen during an event.

Moments spent amidst luxurious life and precious things

Then he further said, ‘My friend ‘Amina’ was a very rich woman. Her husband, who was a billionaire of Arab origin, used to fulfill every small and big wish of his wife. He also had luxurious palaces in different cities of the world and in every palace very expensive furniture, artefacts and unique things were kept. Whenever we went to meet him at any of his houses, my sons were given strict instructions not to touch anything, so that nothing precious gets broken.

Hobby of watches gave him an expensive gift

The actress said, ‘Amina was a very kind and caring friend. He understood my fondness for watches and gifted me a Rolex watch, which was worth more than anything I had ever owned. That Rolex became my most precious possession and hardly a day went by when it was not on my wrist.’

Strange games of fate and sudden theft

He further said, ‘But fate also plays strange games. Just a few years after the discovery of this watch, a charity cricket match was organized between MPs and actors for the ‘Prime Minister’s Relief Fund’ in New Delhi. This was a very popular program, in which even Prime Minister Indira Gandhi herself participated. Many of us actresses from Bombay reached the capital either to play or to watch the match.

Big loss in Delhi’s charity cricket match

She further said, ‘I myself was in the mood to play and had decided to play the match. We were advised to remove all our jewelery and accessories and of course, we could not take our handbags onto the ground. Luckily, Muzaffar Ali graciously offered to keep an eye on our bags during the match. Being careful as always, I put my precious Rolex watch in my bag, added it to the pile of other bags and walked away. And then, when we returned laughing and sweaty, my bag was nowhere to be found! That was the only bag that was missing.

Left the bag on the field and never found it again

The actress further wrote, ‘Yes, that day my handbag and everything kept in it was stolen, which was never found again. I was very worried, but seeing that opportunity, I had to show courage. After that incident, I gave up wearing expensive watches for a long time, until recently when my sons gifted me a beautiful ‘Cartier’ watch on a special occasion.
