Surekha Sikri was good in studies
Surekha Sikri was born on April 19, 1945 in New Delhi. She was very good in studies since childhood and wanted to become a journalist, but fate had something else in store. According to Times of India, Surekha’s sister saw Abraham Alkazi Saheb’s play while studying at Aligarh Muslim University and was deeply impressed by it. After this, he asked for the National School of Drama form from Surekha for himself, although he did not fill this form. Later Surekha filled this form herself and she got selected in the National School of Drama.

Got recognition from ‘Balika Vadhu’
Surekha worked in many great films in her career, but she got recognition in every household for her role as Dadi Sa i.e. Kalyani Devi in the TV show ‘Balika Vadhu’. Apart from this, she also appeared in serials like ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’ and ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’. She also received the National Award thrice for Best Supporting Actress for the 1988 film ‘Tamas’, 1995 film ‘Mammo’ and 2018 film ‘Badhaai Ho’. Apart from this, she was also a part of many superhit films like ‘Sarfarosh’, ‘Nazar’, ‘Tumsa Nahi Dekha’.

Surekha Sikri has a deep relationship with Naseeruddin Shah
According to India Today report, Surekha Sikri had a deep relationship with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. Actually, Naseeruddin Shah had married twice. His first marriage was with Manara Sikri. This marriage did not last long. Manara is the step sister of Surekha Sikri. Naseeruddin and Manara also have a daughter from their first marriage, whose name is Heeba Shah. According to reports, Heeba has also been seen in the role of Grandmother in ‘Balika Vadhu’ for some time.
