The trailer of ‘Raja Shivaji’ looked quite impressive and powerful. Riteish Deshmukh has done a strong job at all three levels – writing, direction and production, and watching the trailer it is clear that a lot of hard work has been done on this film. The trailer has been cut very smart, intelligent and honestly, where the focus is not just on the lead character, but every important character has been given equal space and importance. Riteish Deshmukh himself looks impressive as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while glimpses of actors like Vidya Balan, Bhagyashree and Sanjay Dutt also make the trailer stronger. The special thing is that in the trailer it does not seem that the film has been made keeping only one star at the centre, rather the entire star cast has been given a place according to the story. The VFX of the film also look very good and their use has been kept limited and effective as per the need, which not only shows the grandeur but also maintains the seriousness of the story. An attempt to bring the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on screen on a grand scale is clearly visible. Riteish, being a Marathi, deeply understands the emotion and pride that is associated with the name Shivaji Maharaj, and the same connect is felt in his look, body language and the tone of the film. Overall, ‘Raja Shivaji’ seems to be not just a period film but an emotion one. This feeling is even deeper especially for those living in Maharashtra, but Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a symbol of pride, inspiration and respect for the entire country. Hopefully, when this story comes to the big screen, the audience will get a grand and memorable cinematic experience
