She can open an account between Rs 1-2 crore. This means that its success will largely depend on audience response and mouth-to-mouth publicity, and not on strong first day earnings.

Raja Shivaji
Riteish Deshmukh’s film Raja Shivaji has also been released in theaters on Friday, May 1 i.e. today on Maharashtra Day. This is one of the most ambitious Marathi films ever made. Directed and starring Riteish Deshmukh, this film tells the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. With a budget of Rs 100 crore, this film has been made on a big scale and has many strong actors including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan and Genelia Deshmukh.

This film has been released in Marathi, Hindi and Telugu. Early trends suggest that this film will perform well in Marathi version. Whereas in the Hindi version, it will have an average opening, but due to its release on Maharashtra Day, the number of viewers may increase. Patriot
This week’s highlight is undoubtedly Patriot, which brings together two stalwarts of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty and Mohanlal, on the big screen after more than a decade. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film is a spy action thriller starring a strong cast including Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara.

There is a huge buzz about Patriot, advance bookings have already crossed fantastic figures, its sales have been tremendous in Kerala and abroad, especially in the Gulf countries, the worldwide pre-sales of the film have been close to Rs 15 crores, which hints at a strong opening. According to trade estimates, Patriot may earn around Rs 25 crore worldwide on the first day, making it one of the biggest openings of Malayalam films. There is a lot of excitement among the people due to the reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal.

Other releases
Apart from big films, many small films are also releasing on May 1. These include Jaitley (an action-comedy based on an air journey) and Jaan Abhi Baaki Hai (a romantic crime drama).
