Kareena honored Dada Raj Kapoor
In the 25th edition of the IIFA 2025 Awards, Kareena Kapoor paid her grandfather Raj Kapoor’s famous songs and paid her a huge tribute. Wearing a suit, Kareena Kapoor repeated the signature step of the Japanese song on the stage. While sharing the video, IIFA’s official Instagram handle wrote in the caption, “We have really fallen in love with this beautiful tribute to Raj Kapoor for our Silver Jubilee celebrations.”
Pyaar Hua Iqrar Hua Hua Performs on the song
In another video, Kareena Kapoor showed her retro vibes on the song Pyaar Hua Iqrar. The song was originally shot on Raj Kapoor and Nargis. While sharing the video, IIFA captioned, “We will give 10/10 score to Poo’s performance – Kareena Kapoor Khan is no one!”

Raj Kapoor’s birth was celebrated
In December last year, a special film festival was organized by the Kapoor family to celebrate Raj Kapoor’s birth centenary. The event was attended by Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor and other members of the Kapoor family. Raj Kapoor is remembered for his famous films like Awara, Sri 420, Bobby and Mera Joker. He received several awards for his contribution to the industry, including Padma Bhushan in 1971 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1988 as well as several Filmfare Awards. Raj Kapoor’s films Awara and Boot Polish made their mark at the Cannes Film Festival, while Awake Raho won the prestigious Crystal Globe at the Carlovi Veri International Film Festival.
