When I got this film, I had not even read the entire script and I jumped into the film. I got a chance to work with Sanjay sir. This was very important for me and I am very lucky. After a long time I have done a film.
Did Sandeepa Dhar face nepotism in the industry?
On the question of nepotism, the actress said, ‘It happens many times that you are giving a test for a film and someone else is taken. This happens a lot. There is some disappointment also. But life is like that. I don’t think nepotism is only in this industry. This is every industry. There are many films about which discussions are going on and then they get acquired by someone else. I think every film has a destiny. If that film is made for you, then it comes to you by wandering around. So what is the use of talking about things which were not in your destiny.

Sandeepa talked about her first film. The actress told how she got her first film. Sandeepa called herself an accidental actress. He said, ‘I did not plan to become an actor. I was studying when I got this offer for Rajshree’s film. I did this film also because I thought it would be a different experience.
The actress further said, ‘When I was in college, I also used to do AIDS. So Rajshree’s casting director had seen some of my ads. He called me for his office audition. This was the first time I auditioned for the film. I didn’t know anything about time. He sent me a monologue. I had read what I understood. I couldn’t even get an A in acting. I was a big fan of Sooraj Barjatya, so I went thinking that maybe I would meet Sooraj Barjatya. After 2 weeks I got a call for the second test. After this, again after 3 weeks I got a call from Sooraj Barjatya from a private number. He said- Hello, I am talking to Sooraj Barjatya. We loved your audition. We want you to do our film. You come and listen to the narration and if you like it, you can do the film. I had gone completely blank. Then I went to office. So that’s how I got that film.
‘There is a lot of madness in the magnet’
The actress talked about her upcoming project Chumbak. He said that Chumbak is a comedy film. The actress said- The same person who has written Khichdi and Sarabhai has written Chumbak. So you can understand how mad a comedy this is. I have never done such a show. This is very funny. I am very happy that I am doing this show. There is a lot of madness in the show. I am excited when this show comes and you guys watch it.
