Amidst all the speculations regarding his divorce, famous Tamil cinema actor Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi) got emotional during a press interaction in Chennai on Saturday. During this, he made a shocking announcement saying that he will completely stay away from acting in films until his divorce from his estranged wife Aarti Ravi is legally finalized.
Clarification given on association of name with Kenisha Francis
Jayam Ravi spoke openly about the mental and emotional impact this entire controversy has had on him. Along with this, he also clarified on his relationship with singer and spiritual therapist Kenisha Francis, whose name has been dragged in this public debate for the last two years. He alleged that he had to endure unnecessary humiliation at the hands of his wife and her family for years, and he could no longer remain silent on the entire issue.

Accused of not allowing him to meet his sons
The actor became emotional and also made serious allegations against his sons, Aarav and Ayaan. Speaking to reporters, he said, “I will not act until I get divorced. I am in no mental condition to work right now. Whenever I get divorced, my life will become normal again and as soon as this cyberbullying stops, I will be back on screen again.”
He further narrated his pain and said, “They are not allowing me to meet my sons. My children are always accompanied by bodyguards. I got married against the wishes of my parents and today I am paying the price for that decision. There was a time when I even slit my wrists, but still I went for shooting the very next day. This has always been my commitment towards films.”

Wife Aarti’s counterattack on Instagram
Soon after Jayam Ravi’s press meet, his estranged wife Aarti hit back by posting a strong message on social media platform Instagram. Aarti wrote in her post, “One should never wake up a sleeping lion. And if it is a lioness, then only God save us. No one should mistake my dignified silence for my weakness, nor try to take advantage of it.”
At the end of her message, she said in a warning tone that if necessary, to protect her children and her honor, she will come out of her comfort zone and face the world with the whole truth, because truth always wins.
