Case Against Adipurush: A PIL has been filed in the Delhi High Court against the film Adipurush. In this petition filed by Hindu Sena, it has been accused of making fun of Ramayana, Lord Ram and Hindu culture. Let us tell you that Prabhas and Kirti Sanon starrer film ‘Adipurush’ has been released on Friday itself. The film seems to be stuck in legal trouble as soon as it is released.

What are the allegations?

In this petition which reached Delhi High Court, the organization says that Ramayana, Lord Shri Ram and the culture of the country have been made fun of in this film. Apart from this, in this petition, the National President of Hindu Sena has also demanded from the Delhi Court to remove the alleged objectionable scenes related to Ravana, Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Hanuman in ‘Adipurush’. He says that these scenes are contrary to the portrayal of religious characters found in Ramayana.

The petition has also raised objections to the bearded appearance of the character playing the role of Ravana. It said the depiction had hurt Hindu sentiments. The petition states, ‘Hindu Brahmin Ravana has been wrongly shown making a terrifying face, which is a grave insult to Hindu civilization.’ It also said that the visual facts related to Ravana have been completely distorted in the film. According to media reports, the budget of the film ‘Adipurush’ is up to Rs 600 crore. It is expected that the film can get an opening of up to Rs 80 crore. About 10 lakh tickets of this film were booked in advance. However, after its release, there are mixed reactions from the audience. People are not liking its bad VFX and poor dialogues. There have also been reports of vandalism in some theatres.
