‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (TMKOC), one of the most favorite and long-running comedy shows in Indian TV history, has completed 18 years of its spectacular success. This iconic show, which started on July 28, 2008, entered a new phase on the special occasion of its 18th birthday. To make this celebration memorable, the makers and the entire star cast celebrated together.
This special day was celebrated as ‘Laugh and Laugh Day’
Producer Asit Kumar Modi organized a grand event to celebrate the completion of 18 years of the show. This special day was celebrated by the entire team as ‘Laugh and Laugh Day’.
During this, Jethalal (Dilip Joshi), Bapu ji (Amit Bhatt) and Popatlal (Shyam Pathak) were seen together. All three posed fiercely for the paparazzi.

During the celebration, the show’s favorite on-screen couple ‘Jethalal’ (Dilip Joshi) and ‘Babita ji’ (Munmun Dutta) made headlines. Both of them celebrated this special occasion with the entire team and had a lot of fun. While interacting with the media, he also shared his memories related to the 18 years of the show’s journey.

Actor Amit Bhatt plays the character of ‘Bapuji’ in this iconic serial. 53 year old Amit Bhatt undergoes a special transformation to play his character in the show. To make Bapuji’s look perfect, he uses a cap, which hides his black hair. Now a video of the actor has surfaced, in which he is seen without a cap and is seen appealing to the paparazzi not to record the video.
Babita ji was seen getting angry at the paparazzi
A video of Munmun Dutta is also going viral on social media, in which she is seen getting angry at the paparazzi. He said, ‘Why are you people pushing and shoving… why are you not giving them (paparazzi) space? Do it slowly.
In this special event, apart from Sonalika Joshi, who played the role of ‘Madhavi’ in the show, many stars of Gokuldham society including ‘Atmaram Bhide’ (Mandar Chandwadkar), ‘Taarak Mehta’ (Sachin Shroff), ‘Anjali Mehta’ (Sunaina Faujdar) and ‘Iyer’ (Tanuj Mahashabde) participated. The entire team of the show celebrated the journey of 18 years by reaching this grand celebration.
