The actress’s fiance had committed murder
When Maria was shifting to a new rented flat in Malad area, Neeraj himself came to arrange her belongings. Now as soon as actress Maria’s fiance came to know about Neeraj’s presence in their house, he immediately reached Mumbai from Kochi. After reaching there, he had a scuffle with Neeraj and took his life.
According to Maria, she tried to defend herself, but Emil picked up a knife from the kitchen and attacked Neeraj. Neeraj died on the spot due to knife injury. After the massacre the story became more horrifying. Maria alleged that after the incident, Emil threatened her at knife point and also sexually assaulted her.
Later, when this case reached the court, the defense argued that whatever Maria did after this horrific incident, she did it under the fear and mental pressure of Emil. She was a helpless victim of this situation. After killing Neeraj, both of them had cut his body into pieces and stuffed it in a bag.
