Siddharth Nigam shared a post on Instagram on Thursday. He told that because of supporting the students, many people criticized him and even unfollowed him. On this he wrote, ‘I am saying this without any resentment. If you don’t like talking about students’ rights, respect and future, then maybe my page was not for you. I don’t judge myself by the number of followers I have and I won’t suppress my voice just to please people.

This is not politics, it is about the future of the students
The actor further wrote, ‘This is not a matter of politics or any trend. This is about those real youth, who work hard for years to improve their future and even put their peace, health and youth at stake. It is extremely sad and disturbing to see these young students facing violence, tear gas, heavy lathi charge and physical harm just to express their views. No student should have to endure the shedding of blood or violence to have their voice heard.
Expecting a peaceful solution from the government
Expressing grief over the atrocities being committed against students, the actor wrote, ‘Such incidents happening with the youth are heart-breaking, but I have faith in my government. I am confident that our leaders will come forward, be accountable, listen to the students and take quick and fair steps to find a peaceful solution to this crisis. If you do not feel the pain of our youth, then this is a matter for your thinking.
