South cinema’s popular couple Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are in the news these days for their upcoming most-awarded film ‘Ranbali’. Recently, Rashmika shared a mysterious post on social media regarding Vijay’s avatar from the film, which has raised the curiosity among the fans to the seventh sky. Along with this, Vijay’s reply to this post has also attracted everyone’s attention. Rashmika shared a blurry picture of Vijay Deverakonda from the sets of ‘Ranbaali’ on her Instagram story. Although there was very little information in the picture, her caption caught everyone’s attention. She wrote, “I don’t know if I can show you guys this right now. Hopefully they won’t ask me to take it down like they’ve done so many times before. But these guys are doing something really scary and I can’t help myself. I can’t wait to see it on the big screen!” He also tagged Vijay Deverakonda and director Rahul Sankrityan.

Vijay replied immediately. Re-sharing Rashmika’s story, he lovingly called her “cute” and humorously disagreed with her description. He wrote, “Not scary – divine :))”, hinting that audiences might be in for something a little more mythological than something scary.
This conversation has further fueled discussions about Vijay’s character; Ever since the announcement of ‘Ranbaali’, his transformation has been the most talked about thing.
This latest post is also raising speculations whether this picture is of the much talked about climax of the film or of some other important scene. Earlier, director Rahul Sankrityan had told that it took 16 days to shoot the climax face-to-face scene between Vijay and Hollywood actor Arnold Voslow. Describing it as the main attraction of the film, he said that this scene is as much full of action as it is full of drama.

Set between 1854 and 1878 during the British rule, ‘Ranbaali’ is the story of a fearless freedom fighter. Vijay Deverakonda is playing the lead role, while Rashmika Mandanna is playing the role of Jayamma and Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo is playing the role of villain Sir Theodore Hector.
‘Ranbaali’ is also the first on-screen pairing of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna after their marriage. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, this period action drama film will be released in theaters on September 11, 2026.
