South Korea’s famous stars IU (Lee Ji Eun) and Lee Jong Suk have ended their four-year-old relationship. This couple, who declared their love in the year 2022, have now decided to separate from each other. On July 10, IU’s agency Isham Entertainment and Lee Jong Suk’s agency Ash Factory made it clear that the two had broken up. According to Korean media reports, both agencies issued identical statements saying, “It is true that they have broken up. They have now decided to remain good partners.”
Work busyness became the reason for separation
According to reports, the busy schedules of both the stars played a big role in this breakup. Being extremely busy with their new projects and work, it was becoming increasingly difficult for both of them to spend time with each other. A representative said, “Due to work commitments, they were unable to see each other very often, so they decided to end the relationship.”

The story started ten years ago
IU and Lee Jong Suk first met in 2012, when they hosted a music show Inkigayo together. The audience loved their pairing on TV, but even after the show ended, the two remained just good friends for many years. During a reality show in 2013, Lee Jong Suk admitted that initially while working, their views did not always match, but later after talking, they worked out everything and became very close friends.
Love came to the world in the year 2022
People came to know about their relationship for the first time in December 2022. While winning an award at an awards show, Lee Jong Suk thanked IU without mentioning her name and said, “Thank you for always being there for me. I want to tell you that I have liked you for a very long time.” The very next day after this statement, their agencies had confirmed their relationship and said that they are taking their friendship forward and are in a serious relationship.

After accepting their relationship, both the stars had told how their old friendship gradually turned into love. IU had said that Lee Jong Suk has always been a big help in her career and life.
