For the past few days, many rumors were floating on social media and media corridors regarding Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace’. It was being claimed in these reports that the film is facing big difficulties in getting approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) i.e. Censor Board. Now putting an end to all these speculations, Salman Khan’s production company ‘Salman Khan Films’ (SKF) has released an official statement and put forward the truth.
In a statement released on its official social media handle, the production company has rejected these allegations. He said that the film has not been sent to CBFC for certification, hence all these allegations are completely baseless.

Here is the official statement:
“All claims that ‘Mathrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace’ is facing CBFC-related issues or its certification has been put on hold are false. The film has not yet been submitted to the CBFC for certification. Therefore, such reports are completely baseless,” the statement said.
The production house also appealed to media organizations and social media users not to spread unverified information. He said that any information related to the film will be given only through the official platform of ‘Salman Khan Films’.
The statement further said, “We request media outlets and the public not to spread unverified information. Any official updates about the film will be shared by ‘Salman Khan Films’ only through its official channels.”

This clarification comes after reports that ‘Mathrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace’ is facing hurdles in certification. This latest update makes it clear that the certification process has not yet started and people should rely only on official sources for information.

In this film, Salman Khan is playing the role of Colonel Santosh Babu, who was the commanding officer of 16 Bihar Regiment. He led the Indian Army during the fighting when the ceasefire agreement was implemented on the border. Chitrangada Singh is in the lead female role in the film. Abhilash Choudhary and Ankur Bhatia will also be in important roles in ‘Matribhumi’ and its music has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
The teaser of the film was launched by the producers on December 27, 2025, as Salman Khan turned 60 on this date. Salman Khan’s previous release was ‘Sikander’, directed by A.R. It was directed by Murugadoss and also starred Rashmika Mandanna.
