In 1974, Protima Bedi came into controversy when she was seen running without clothes on Juhu Beach in Mumbai. This was a publicity campaign for a magazine. With this she became one of the most controversial public figures of the country.
Protima remained in open marriage
Protima was married to actor Kabir Bedi. They had two children Pooja and Siddharth Bedi. The marriage of Protima and Kabir lasted only between 1969 and 1974. Kabir had told that he and Protima were in an open marriage.

Protima passed away, body not found
Let us tell you that Protima Bedi is no more in this world. She died when she was 49 years old. His body was never found. He died due to a landslide in Malpa near Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand during the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
While talking about her mother, her daughter Pooja had told the screen that her mother’s wish was that whenever she passed away, she should be close to nature. And during the last moments of her life she was in the mountains.
