‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is a show which everyone likes a lot. This show has been ruling the TV world for the last 18 years and is soon going to complete 19 years. All the actors of the show have a special identity among the audience. Dilip Joshi is recognized as the biggest artist of the show. Dilip plays the character of Jethalal in the show. Everyone praises him and even superstars like Govinda have praised him many years ago.
When Govinda became a fan of ‘Jethalal’
Dilip Joshi has left his mark from TV to Bollywood. Dilip, who has worked in some Bollywood films, had also worked in many serials before starting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He has also worked in the serial ‘Kya Baat Hai’. In this he played a South Indian character.

Dilip once narrated a funny anecdote related to Govinda on actor and host Shekhar Suman’s show. He had said, ‘I have a wonderful story with Govinda. I was returning home after shooting in Kamalistan and then Govinda ji was going from there for some other shooting. That’s when I saw ‘Hero No. 1’. I don’t know what happened, I went to him and said Sir, you act very well. Your timing is great and I am your fan. He looked at me and said- Yes. Then said one minute. Hey, you are the one who plays the role of a South Indian in Ramesh Sippy’s serial. Hey you are very good. Hug me, friend.

Apart from Salman Khan’s films Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Dilip Joshi has also worked in films like Khiladi 420, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Kya Dil Ne Kaha and Humraaz. Apart from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Kya Baat Hai, he was also a part of serials like Hum Sab Baraati, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Yeh Duniya Hai Rangi.
