Oscar winner Angelina Jolie, one of the most beautiful and powerful actresses of Hollywood, has made such a revelation about her personal life, which has shocked and emotional her fans. Almost a decade (10 years) after her divorce from actor Brad Pitt, Angelina told that she has not dated any other person during this entire period. In an interview given to Yahoo Entertainment during the promotion of her upcoming film ‘Couture’, Angelina talked openly about her loneliness, raising children and the new chapter of life.
The Oscar-winning actress said she has been focused on raising her six children, although she now feels she is beginning to find herself again. Jolie said these things during the promotion of her upcoming film ‘Couture’. In this film, she plays the character of Maxine Walker, an American filmmaker who is diagnosed with breast cancer but also suddenly finds love.
Speaking to Yahoo Entertainment, Jolie said, “Honestly, I haven’t dated since my divorce a decade ago. So I’ve come to realize that if I’m focusing on my kids and my family, that aspect (dating) doesn’t have a special place in my life.” She further said that for the first time in years, she feels that she is starting a new chapter of her life.
She said, “So yes, things are changing, but in ways that I didn’t expect. I don’t feel like I’m 51 and thinking about getting old. I’m thinking that I have to live again. I have to be free again. In a way, life broke me a little bit. Now I’m slowly becoming the same person I used to be.”
Jolie also talked about her daughters’ role in this journey. She said her daughters encouraged her to reconnect with the person she was before becoming a mother. Plus, she helped her think about the values she wants to teach her daughters — like strength, kindness, confidence and courage.
