Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and popular actor Thalapathy Vijay turned 52 on June 22. On this occasion, politicians and celebrities from across the country congratulated him on his birthday. But there was an uproar on the internet when fans noticed that Vijay’s rumored girlfriend Trisha Krishnan did not wish him on social media. The matter escalated so much that some fans panicked and started claiming that Trisha has unfollowed Vijay on Instagram.
In the past years, pictures that broke the internet were shared.
The reason fans are worried is that Trisha had been continuously posting her close pictures with Vijay on his birthday for the last several years. In the year 2023, he shared a photo of a snowy location from the sets of the film ‘Leo’. After this, in 2024, one of his mirror selfies took the internet by storm, with which he wrote “The Come to a Storm”. In 2025 also, Trisha had posted a very cute photo of Vijay with her stomach. But this year no post appeared from Trisha’s account, which fueled the rumours.

Has Trisha unfollowed Vijay on Instagram?
When Trisha’s post did not appear, some ex-users shared the screenshot and claimed that Trisha has unfollowed Vijay. Some people even started speculating whether Vijay is patching up with his wife Sangeeta Sornalingam, with whom his divorce case is going on in the Chennai court.
But the truth of this whole ‘unfollow’ controversy is something else. Actually Trisha had never followed Vijay on Instagram. Both never followed each other, so the question of unfollowing did not arise. Some savvy fans also reminded that Trisha had recently liked a post made by Samantha for Vijay, and they were also seen together at a wedding in Chennai and Keerthy Suresh’s wedding in Goa this March.
