This week is going to be very exciting for cinema lovers and fantasy series fans around the world. ‘House of the Dragon’, the popular prequel to the famous series ‘Game of Thrones’, is making a grand comeback with its third season. After the blockbuster and hair-raising events of the second season, the Targaryen Civil War is about to take an even more violent turn in this new season. Both sides are preparing for a bloody battle to capture the ‘Iron Throne’.

The two year long wait is over
The show has been one of HBO’s most successful and biggest shows since its debut in the year 2022. However, the audience had to wait a long time for Season 3. It took almost two years for the makers to film the war scenes on a large scale, prepare grand sets and work on excellent visual effects (VFX), after which the series is now returning to the screens.

Season 3 will have only 8 episodes: the story will be even more tight
Like the previous season, Season 3 is also contained in the format of eight episodes. Show creator Ryan Condal has explained that the shorter format was changed from the 10-episode format of Season 1 so that the story would be more tight, fast and focused.
In America, the show has started on June 21, while in India it has gone live from June 22 (Monday). Its episodes will be released every week, with the finale episode airing on August 9 (August 10 in India).
