Lavina Tandon
Lavina Tandon, who became famous with the role of Ruqaiya Begum in Jodha Akbar, also had to face casting couch. Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Lavina recently told that a casting director had approached her for a role in a South film. When he asked about the budget of the film, the director offered Rs 5 lakh. However, he later said that if he was willing to “compromise”, the budget of the film could go up to Rs 7 lakh.
Barkha Singh
In a conversation with Hotfly, Barkha Singh told about her scary experience of casting couch. He said, “Someone had sent me this on email. I think it was for some project in the South, and I also have proof of this in which that person had written, ‘There will be shooting for so many days and vitals (body measurements) should be at least 36. There will have to be a compromise.’ If you are giving this in writing, it means that you are ready for it.”
Divyanka Tripathi
During a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Divyanka had told that there was a time when she had no money and there was a lot of pressure on her. She said that she got an offer and was told, “You have to be with this director and you will get a big break,” and the actress said that she was talked to as if everyone else was doing the same.
Madalsa Sharma
‘Anupama’ fame actress Madalsa Sharma had talked about casting couch in an interview given to ETimes. She had said that sometimes you meet people ‘who are probably more interested in things that you are not at all ready to give’. The actress told that whenever she felt uncomfortable in someone’s presence or during a meeting, she just got up and left. He said that this is a personal decision.
