Pooja Bedi-Karan Oberoi On Shilpa Shinde: Shilpa Shinde, who became a household name with the show ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’, is in big trouble. About a decade ago, she had accused the producer of her show of sexual harassment, however now she told in a podcast that that allegation was false and baseless. People are criticizing Shilpa for her actions and celebs are also scolding the actress. Now actress Pooja Bedi and actor Karan Oberoi have also expressed their anger on Shilpa Shinde.
Pooja Bedi got furious at Shilpa
Recently, while talking to Variety India, Pooja Bedi vented out fiercely against Shilpa Shinde. Taking a dig at Shilpa, he said, ‘Any woman who misuses the laws meant to protect victims, whether for revenge, personal gain, publicity or malice, is betraying the very purpose of those laws for which these laws were made.’

The 56-year-old actress further said, ‘False allegations not only destroy innocent lives but also make it difficult to believe the words of those who are actually victims. Such misuse of law will not be accepted. This should have serious consequences. As someone who has advocated for women’s rights for decades, I believe that any woman who abuses the laws designed to protect victims of sexual harassment or abuse, who face real trauma, suffering and exploitation, is doing great harm to the movement.’
Karan Oberoi also got angry
Speaking to Variety India, actor Karan Oberoi said, ‘Any allegation should be thoroughly investigated so that the depth of the matter can be reached before defaming someone in the print media and ruining their hard-earned reputation and lives. The report may be a step in the right direction, but if it is not investigated transparently and carefully, it will remain mere rhetoric. A false case is more against women than against men. Because the real victims are the victims. One false case has the potential to taint a hundred real cases.

She said, ‘At that time I had filed a complaint of sexual harassment against my producer because I felt that I had no other option left. Now looking back, I think it was a very big step. According to Shilpa, she had taken this step regarding her contract and outstanding payments in the show.
