Before the release of this film, Imtiaz participated in a special program of ABP News and apart from his film, he also talked about the ban of actor Ranveer Singh and called him a great actor.
What did Imtiaz Ali say on Ranveer’s ban?
It is noteworthy that Ranveer Singh was banned by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) after leaving the film ‘Don 3’. On this issue, Imtiaz Ali said, ‘God forbid such a day should ever come in the life of any artist. He is a very brilliant and excellent actor. I don’t know everything about this case, but my hope is that this whole matter gets resolved as soon as possible. However, let us tell you that FWICE has lifted the ban on Ranveer by holding a press conference on Wednesday afternoon itself.

Ranveer Singh was going to work in Don 3 to be directed by Farhan Akhtar. His casting was done long ago. But, amidst the success of Dhurandhar, he suddenly distanced himself from this film. Farhan told that his production house Excel Entertainment had suffered a loss of Rs 45 crore due to this step. The matter reached FWICE and they were banned under the Non-Cooperation Directive.

When Ranveer sent a legal notice, his attitude became lax.
On Tuesday, news came that Ranveer Singh had taken legal action in this matter, opposing the ban and sent a legal notice to FWICE. This was also confirmed by FWICE Chief Advisor Ashok Pandit. But, on Wednesday, FWICE relaxed its stance and lifted the ban on the actor and called him for talks. Besides, FWICE had also praised the actor of ‘Dhurandhar’.
