Recently he told that his relationship with the children playing the roles of Pandavas and Kauravas in the show has become so special that many actors have started calling him ‘Pitamah’ even off-screen. He shared many interesting things about this experience.

These days the new mythological show ‘Hastinapur Ke Veer’ is much discussed in the TV industry. In this the initial phase of the story of Mahabharata will be shown. Experienced actor Manish Wadhwa is playing the role of Bhishma Pitamah in this show. Recently, while talking to IANS, he shared his experience of working with the young actors of the show and told how a special relationship has developed between him and the children on the set.

Children considered Manish Wadhwa as their grandfather
In a conversation with IANS, Manish Wadhwa said, ‘When I started shooting for the show, I had no idea that the character I played on screen would affect relationships in real life too. Bhishma Pitamah is one of the most respected and guiding characters of Mahabharata. The interesting thing is that the children playing the roles of Pandavas and Kauravas in the show have also gradually started looking at me from the same perspective. The actor said, ‘During the shooting, I realized that my relationship with the children is not just that of co-stars, but they have become like an elder and guiding person.’
The dedication of child artists made an impact
Sharing his experience, Manish said, ‘What has affected me the most is the desire of these children to learn. Even at today’s young age, these artists are very serious about their work. He tries to understand every scene, constantly asks questions and wants to know what is the importance of a scene. This kind of curiosity and dedication at such a young age is a very special thing and these qualities will make him a better artist in future.
Fun with Mahabharata stories on set
He further said, ‘All the actors sit together in the free time between shooting. During this, they discuss the stories, characters and interesting things related to Mahabharata. Many times these conversations become so interesting that all the actors get completely immersed in it. Apart from this, there is a lot of laughter and joking on the set.

Even off-screen, children call him ‘Pitamah’.
The actor said, ‘Now many young actors of the show have started calling me Pitamah even off-screen. I feel very happy when children call me by this name. For me, this is a way of showing respect and belonging. This relationship is very special for me and I consider it one of the beautiful memories of my career.
