Toral Rasputra, who is playing the role of Mata Kunti in Sony SAB’s new mythological show ‘Hastinapur Ke Veer’, has spoken openly about her role. The actress says that any artiste gets a chance to play a character like Kunti only once in his life.
According to Toral Rasputra, Kunti is one of the most complex and inspiring characters of the Mahabharata. He said that Kunti has immense tolerance, dignity and spirit of sacrifice. Especially as a mother, the circumstances in which she raised her children made her extremely strong.
The actress said that she feels that actors do not choose characters, rather characters choose actors. That is why when she got the opportunity to play the role of Kunti, she took it as a special responsibility.
Toral also admitted that playing a mythological character is more challenging than any normal fiction show. These characters have a fixed image in the minds of the audience and in such a situation, every artist has a big responsibility to do justice to that character. According to him, in such shows every small and big thing is worked on minutely and every day brings a new challenge.
Talking about the relationship between Kunti and Gandhari, Toral Rasputra said that if he had to describe this relationship in one word, it would be ‘respect’. According to him, there is no rivalry between the two but respect and affection for each other.
The actress hopes that the audience will like this new look of Kunti in ‘Hastinapur Ke Veer’ and feel connected to her journey.
