The film brought me closer to ‘Ramayana’ and Lord Ram
Ranbir Kapoor talked about playing the role of Lord Ram during a conversation with Top Magazine. The actor has admitted that initially he had a lot of doubts whether he would be able to do justice to such an iconic character or not. He questioned himself whether he was qualified to play this role. But with time this fear turned into love for the project.
He told that I understood that this would not be a decisive step for my career, but it was definitely going to change my life. It brought me closer to understanding Ramayana, the journey of Lord Rama. I think it has brought many positive changes in my life.
My bad habits have changed, my values have changed a lot, my outlook on life has changed. My perspective on loss has changed, my perspective on sacrifice has changed, my perspective on religion has changed and I think I needed this very much in my life.
Ramayan wanted me to be a better person for Raha
Ranbir Kapoor further explained how becoming a father and working on Ramayan happened simultaneously in his life, making the experience even more meaningful for him. Ranbir said that this was a lovely coincidence of my life. My daughter Raha has made me a better person and Ramayana also wants me to be a better person for Raha, so everything was already connected. I was at the right place at the right time when such a big film based on our truth, our culture, our history was being made in the most authentic way. It was a blessing and I will be grateful for the rest of my life.
When will ‘Ramayana’ be released?
Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Seecha, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman in ‘Ramayana’ directed by Nitish Tiwari. Let us tell you that this film is being made in two parts. Its first part is ready to release on Diwali this year. Whereas its second part will be released next year on Diwali 2027.
