Babil Khan, son of late veteran actor Irrfan Khan and emerging talented Bollywood actor, is now all set to prove his mettle in regional cinema. Babil Khan has started the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market’ in the beautiful city of Siliguri, West Bengal. This will be the first Malayalam film of Babil’s career, about which there is tremendous excitement among his fans. This film is being directed by well-known director Babu Janardhan. Along with Babil, great actors like Aparna Balamurali, Deepak Parambol, Nikhil Nair, Johnny Antony, Jagdish, Sudhir Karamana, Unni Raja, Athamiya and Jaishankar will be seen in lead roles in the film.

Khan said in a statement, “Malayalam cinema has always had a special place in my heart because of the way it presents stories with honesty, sensitivity and emotional depth.
As an actor, I have always believed that growth comes from stepping into the unknown and dedicating yourself completely to a new world, new people and new emotions. He said, “Starting the shoot of Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market in Siliguri is a very exciting, emotionally and creatively satisfying experience for me.”

It’s not just a new chapter for Yer, but it’s a journey he’s truly grateful to have embarked on. Khan, son of late actor Irrfan Khan, made his acting debut in OTT platform Netflix’s psychological drama film Kala in 2022. Khan also won accolades for his role in the series The Railway Men, based on the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. Babil Khan also worked in Logout, released in 2025.
