Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey and actor Lakshya are in the news these days for their upcoming film ‘Chand Mera Dil’. In the recently released trailer of the film, the romantic chemistry of both was seen, after which fans are desperate for their on-screen chemistry. However, just before the release of the film, news that disappointed the fans has come to light. According to the news, the Censor Board has cut some romantic scenes of the film.
Censor Board removed 96 seconds of intimate scenes
Before releasing the film ‘Chand Mera Dil’ in theatres, the makers had to go through the procedures of the Censor Board. According to reports, the Central Board of Film Certification directed the film to make several major changes before giving it a ‘U/A 16+’ certificate.
If reports are to be believed, the board has removed about 96 seconds of kissing and intimate scenes from the film. This included a 10-second kissing scene, which was asked to be removed and replaced with other visuals. Apart from this, the approximately 1 minute 26 second long lip-lock scenes have also been completely deleted from the film. Only after all these cuts the film could get the censor certificate.

Formalities had to be completed regarding child artists also
Along with using scissors on the scenes, the censor board had put another condition before the makers. According to reports, the board had asked the makers to submit necessary legal documents related to the consent of the parents of all the child artists working in the film. After completing all these formalities and changes, the film was finally given the official censor certificate on 8 May.

This will be the length of the film and when will it be released?
After the cuts by the censor board, the runtime of the film has now been fixed at approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. This film has been directed by Vivek Soni and the pairing of Ananya Pandey and Lakshya is going to be seen together for the first time on the big screen. ‘Chand Mera Dil’ is a romantic drama film, made under the banner of Dharma Productions. Its producers include Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Adar Poonawala, Apoorva Mehta, Soman Mishra and Marieke D’Souza. This film is all set to hit the theaters this week on 22nd May.
