Months after Season 4 ended on a very tense and emotional note, it is now officially clear that the story of Phulera village is going to move forward. The makers have officially confirmed the arrival of ‘Panchayat Season 5’ in the new content release list of Prime Video in March. The much-loved rural comedy-drama returns to entertain the audience once again with the unique politics of Phulera village, the personal conflicts of the characters and everyday desi turmoil.
Panchayat Season 5: Possible Release Timeline
The announcement was made as part of Prime Video’s new Indian content list. Although the makers have not yet revealed any exact release date, it is likely that the new season will arrive sometime in 2026. However, official confirmation from the makers is still awaited. Like previous seasons, Panchayat Season 5 will also stream only on Prime Video.
In April, the makers had also confirmed that the filming of Panchayat Season 5 has already started. While sharing this update during the release list announcement, the caption read: “After spending 6 years in Phulera, don’t feel like leaving here #PanchayatOnPrime, new season, filming continues.”
How did Panchayat Season 4 end?
The last season ended with many unanswered questions. Secretary played by Jitendra Kumar was seen thinking about his future after his CAT results. Manju Devi, played by Neena Gupta, was struggling with the pain of the election defeat, while Pradhan ji was still trying to understand everything that happened around him. Panchayat continues to support The Viral Fever, with Deepak Kumar Mishra and Chandan Kumar creatively leading the show. Chandan Kumar has written the new season, while Mishra returns as director. Familiar actors including Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvika, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar and Pankaj Jha are also set to return.
