Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is currently in the news more for its OTT release than its film. The movie has been streamed on Netflix in many countries, but the audience in India still has to wait. For this reason, reactions are being seen continuously on social media.
The interesting thing is that viewers in foreign countries are getting to see the uncensored version of the film. That means, those scenes are also being shown which were removed during the theatrical release. The film Dhurandhar: The Revenge is available on Netflix in many languages with the name Raw & Uncut.
Whereas in India its streaming rights are with Jio Hotstar. The platform has confirmed that the Indian audience will also get the same raw and uncut version. However, fans became more angry after hearing the release date. According to the platform, the film will premiere on June 4 at 7 pm and streaming will start from June 5.
Now people are raising questions that when the film has already released in other countries, then why is there such a long wait in India. Many users believe that piracy can increase due to such a delay. Some people are citing IPL as the reason because IPL is also being streamed on Jio Hotstar. Currently, there is a lot of debate on the internet regarding this delay.
