MumbaiBJP MLA Ram Kadam on Wednesday accused the previous Uddhav Thackeray -led Maharashtra government of destroying the evidence in the Sushant Singh Rajput case and urged the Special Investigation Team (SIT), who was investigating the death of Disha Salian, to investigate the case of Rajput.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ram Kadam in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Wednesday accused the then Uddhav Thackeray government of destroying evidence in the Sushant Singh Rajput case and demanded that the SIT investigating Disha Salian Death should also investigate the Rajput case. Kadam made this demand in the Vidhan Sabha at a time when the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has presented a report (closure report) before a court in the alleged suicide case of the Bollywood actor last week.
CBICase of Sunshat Singh Rajput was closed
Kadam said that the case was handed over to the CBI 68 days after the death of Rajput. He claimed that the Bihar Police, who registered a case in connection with the death of Rajput, was not allowed to investigate. He said, “After destroying the evidence from Sushant’s flat, he was handed over to the owner and the furniture was removed. The house was painted. It should be investigated whether this was done to destroy the evidence. Why did this happen.”
Sushant committed suicide or was the murder? The truth did not come true
The body of Rajput (34) was found hanging from the roof of his apartment in suburban Bandra on 14 June 2020. Six days ago, his former manager Disha Salian (28) fell from the 14th floor of a residential building in Malad area of the city. Kadam demanded that the alleged role of the then Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (Ubatha) president Uddhav Thackeray and Rajput’s female friend Riya Chakraborty should be investigated in the matter of destroying the evidence, as the special investigation team constituted in the Disha Salian case is still working. He said that the SIT should investigate both these cases simultaneously.
