Mickey Contractor said, ‘This was a very conscious decision of mine. While working in the AIDS industry, I learned how to apply makeup in such a way that it was invisible. ‘ Mickey Contractor further said, ‘And when I talk about makeup, I mean foundation.’ During this conversation, Mickey Contractor revealed that Alia Bhatt had adopted a no foundation look in the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Mickey Contractor said in a conversation with Masoom Meenawala, ‘You will not believe it, but Alia Bhatt did not lay any foundation at all in the love story of Rocky and Rani. When I suggested this to her, she immediately agreed to it.

Karan Johar was scared
However, he told that the film’s director Karan Johar was a little nervous about this decision. Since he was making a glamorous film, he doubted whether the look would look as good on screen without foundation. Mickey told that he insisted on the look without foundation and told Karan Johar, ‘Let’s do a look test first. If you don’t like it, we will change it.
Alia Bhatt had told Mickey Contractor, ‘I did not know that I could look so glamorous on camera even without foundation.’ Mickey told that he did not use foundation on Alia’s face throughout the film Rocky and Rani’s love story. She gave a light glow to her face by using only concealer under the eyes, smokey eye shadow and cream blush. Rani’s look was completed with nude lipstick.
Mickey Contractor also shared the story behind Alia Bhatt’s viral smokey eye look in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He told that when he was doing this makeup of Alia, he did not allow the actress to sit in front of the mirror. Mickey Contractor told that after the makeup was completed, he had already warned Alia Bhatt that she might be a little shocked when she saw herself in the mirror.
