Nandamuri Balakrishna (NBK) often remains in the headlines due to his outspoken style and public behavior apart from his films. From viral videos with fans to controversial clips from events, Balakrishna’s name has become a topic of discussion many times. Now, Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has openly expressed her opinion on her experience of working with him and the controversy of the song ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ associated with his film ‘Daku Maharaj’.

Speaking to Radio Nasha, Urvashi Rautela said that the controversy that started with Nandamuri Balakrishna over her film ‘Daku Maharaj’ gradually grew online. According to him, one thing led to another and within no time this discussion became very big on social media. The song ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ from the film received a lot of criticism online and became part of the larger debate surrounding the film as well as Balakrishna’s public image.

Despite the criticism, Urvashi had only good things to say about her experience on the sets. He said that working with Balakrishna was “really awesome” and particularly praised the film’s action sequences, calling them the biggest feature of the film.
He described the actor as a very funny and energetic person in real life. She said he was very easy to talk to and was a far cry from his serious image often seen in clips that go viral online. According to her, he seemed “very childish” and “extremely hot-headed”.

During the conversation, Urvashi also shared a personal memory related to the actor. She told that last year, the first person to wish her on Valentine’s Day was Balkrishna. Talking about people’s perception about him, he said that maybe people are a little scared of him on the sets, but when you actually meet him, he is a very down-to-earth and friendly person. He also told that he loves children very much and he is not always in that serious style as people often think about him.
Why was ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ criticized?
There was a lot of criticism on social media regarding the choreography of the song ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ from the film ‘Daku Maharaj’ and the huge age difference between Nandamuri Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela. However, despite these criticisms, the song was included in the final cut of the film.
