Some time ago he was in news due to the film based on his superhit serial Shaktimaan. It was being claimed in media reports that a film is going to be made on ‘Shaktimaan’ in which Ranveer Singh can play the lead role.

Ranveer Singh’s name was appearing first in media reports. It was being said that Ranveer Singh was also very keen to become Shaktimaan, but Mukesh Khanna did not like him.
Mukesh Khanna rejected the reports claiming the name of Ranveer Singh and said that playing the role of Shaktimaan is a matter of responsibility. A personality is required to play this role. There is a need for a responsible personality which Ranveer Singh does not have.
Earlier, veteran actor Ranveer Singh had also raised objections to his nude photoshoot. He scolded Ranveer fiercely and also targeted Deepika Padukone. Mukesh Khanna had said that Deepika Padukone should have objected to Ranveer’s photoshoot.

Surendra Pal had a conversation with Siddharth Kanan during which he praised Ranveer Singh’s acting and said that he is a fan of the actor. Surendra Pal also said that Mukesh Khanna is very attached to the role of Shaktimaan. This character is no less than a child for him and that is why he will not make any compromise for his role.
Surendra Pal, who plays the character of Tamraj Kilvish in Shaktiman, says that the real Shaktiman will never compromise and also calls him ‘stubborn’. He also said that the veteran actor is not a bad option and Mukesh Khanna should reconsider his decision.
He further says, ‘He is the best judge, this is his creation. He wants only the best for his character, whom he still treats as his child. Therefore he will not make any compromise. He is very stubborn. However, the actor also appealed to Mukesh Khanna to reconsider his decision.
Recently, in a conversation on Zoom, Mukesh Khanna had praised Ranveer Singh’s acting in his film Dhurandhar. However, he stood by his opinion and said that he did not want any star to play the role of this iconic superhero.
Mukesh Khanna had said, ‘See, I am against it because he is a brilliant actor, he has tremendous energy, he can do Dhurandhar, Gully Boy, Khilji. But Shaktiman requires not only an actor but also a face. Like looking at Prithviraj Chauhan one should feel that he is Prithviraj Chauhan, which was not seen in Akshay Kumar in the film. He put on the wig and did everything else. When I used to play historical characters, it used to take me one and a half hour just to change the costume. I used to wear a seven-inch crown.
