The makers of Yash’s ‘Toxic’ and Varun Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ have changed their release plans. The eagerly awaited film, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’, which was earlier scheduled to release on June 4, 2026, has now been postponed to a later date.Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan’s fans will have to wait a little longer, as ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ will now be released in June. The film was earlier scheduled to release on 22 May 2026. Read on to know its new release date.
Yash’s ‘Toxic’ postponed again
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the makers of ‘Toxic’ announced the postponement of the film. In a statement, he said that ‘Toxic’ has been completed and they are currently working on global distribution and partnerships. He also said that ‘Toxic’ will be released at a later date, to be determined worldwide, and will hit theaters around the world soon.
‘Toxic’ is complete
He further said that the film has been completed, but it needs to be organized more globally before its release. “Toxic is complete, and we are currently working on global distribution and partnerships. In view of this, we have decided to reschedule our release timeline. Although we will not be releasing on June 4, as previously reported, we will be releasing at a later date, to be determined worldwide. Toxic will be arriving in theaters worldwide soon.”
Meanwhile, the release date of Varun Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ has also changed, due to the delay in the release of ‘Toxic’. This comedy film, which was earlier released on May 22, will now be released on June 5. Varun shared this news on his Instagram and thanked Yash and Maddock Films. He wrote, “In theaters on June 5, 2026. Thanks to @thenameisyash and @maddockfilms for helping us reset our calendar as our film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ will now release on its scheduled date. This will be the first film to release post IPL.”
