The actress made her debut with Hrithik Roshan in the film ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. Very few people would know about Ameesha Patel that she was also offered Salman Khan’s ‘Tere Naam’ and the actor was very excited to do this film with her. This is not what we say but Ameesha. The actress talked about the ups and downs in her career since her debut film and creative differences with Anil Sharma. Meanwhile, when she was also asked about rejecting Salman Khan’s hit film ‘Tere Naam’, the actress expressed regret over it.

Why not Salman Khan’s ‘Tere Naam’?
In this conversation the actress said, ‘I wish I had not refused. At that time when Salman offered me this film. Only the songs had been made and this was the idea and story of the film. He narrated to me and also made me sing songs. Till then neither the dates were fixed nor it was decided who would direct. Everything was up in the air. Salman Khan was very excited for this. When things were finalized and Satish Kaushik came onboard. Everything happened and by then I was involved in some other project. Before Satish Kaushik, names of many people had come forward that they would direct. Nothing was set.

Ameesha Patel further says, ‘As an actor, I did not want to take more time from other projects. There were many projects for which I had given dates. If Salman Khan had come to me with a set date, director and ready to role, I would have definitely done it and I would not have refused a film like Tere Naam. This was an excellent film. I liked the story very much. I liked the songs a lot and it was really my loss. Just couldn’t do it because of dates.

Box office of ‘Tere Naam’
However, if we talk about the box office collection of Salman Khan’s film ‘Tere Naam’, then according to reports, its budget was Rs 10 crore. Whereas according to Sacknilk, the India net collection of the film was 19.4 crores and the overseas collection was 4.96 crores.
