The truth behind the glamor of the film industry has once again come to light. Artists are now speaking openly about long working hours and lack of facilities on the sets. Recently, during a conversation, Archana Puran Singh openly expressed her opinion on this issue and told how people working on film sets sometimes do not even get the necessary facilities.
Archana called some production houses stingy
Talking to News 18, Archana Puran Singh said about the production house that the working hours during shooting always increase more than the scheduled time. Many times one has to work for more than 12 hours and this is increased to 13-14 hours. They make us work for 13-14 hours and sometimes don’t even give us a lunch break. This is completely stingy. Stinginess is not just about money, it is about thinking. The lightmen who stand in the sun for hours do not even get proper food. He does not have any assistant who can give him fruits or anything else. This is very wrong. Some production houses are so strict about food that people jokingly start identifying them based on their food.
Many artists also raised their voice
Apart from this, Sanya Malhotra said that many times the shooting happens in such a hurry that even the necessary breaks like lunch time are ignored. Rajkumar Rao believes that if the schedule is planned properly, then eating and taking rest on time is absolutely possible. It is important to take care of the health and comfort of every person working on the set. Abhishek Banerjee also said that these small things actually show big thinking, where people’s basic needs are left behind in the pursuit of saving expenses.

Deepika had also demanded
Let us tell you that this is not a new matter. Even before this, many artists have raised their voice on this. Last year, Deepika Padukone had also expressed concern about long working hours. According to reports, he had left some projects because his demand of 8-hour shifts could not be met. He had earlier also said that overworking has become normal in the industry, which needs to be changed.
